Outdoor Resort Palm Springs is looking for an awesome Security Guard. Ideal candidates have experience as a security guard, security officer, unarmed security, unarmed guard, post commander.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Resort Access, Ingress and Egress, in accordance with the ORPS Post Orders.
- Enforce the Rules and Regulations in accordance with the ORPS Post Orders.
- Patrol the resort and observe and report any unusual activities in or near ORPS.
- Promptly report all emergencies, fire, safety related hazards, and theft or attempted theft of any ORPS or personal property.
- Demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills.
- Follow all security related verbal directions issued by the officer in charge
- Perform other duties as directed by the Post Commander.
- Provide the members and guests of Outdoor Resort Palms Springs outstanding customer service.
- Other assignments as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma, or equivalent. Basic business office training and skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must pay attention to detail
- Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a team-oriented environment
- Has strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to multi-task and work efficiently
Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in a access control software, preferably Dwelling Live
- Possession of a valid California Guard Card
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Red Cross Certified First Aid Training
- CPR Training
- AED Training
- Guard Card
Other Requirements
- Able to work extended hours or weekends as business dictates
- May fill in for absent staff as needed
- Able to be flexible to changing policies and procedures, as well as varying deadlines
- Ensure that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the standards, goals and objectives of the Post Commander, General Manager and Outdoor Resort Palm Springs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop and lift, up to 40 pounds.
SAFETY
Incumbent is required to comply with established safe work practices and attend all safety-related training provided or made available by the Association
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
