RESPONSIBILITY

- Safeguarding the store’s high-value jewelry inventory by implementing security measures, monitoring for suspicious activity, and ensuring the safety of clients, employees, and products. This role focuses on reducing theft, fraud, and shrinkage through proactive strategies and hands-on surveillance.
- Monitor and Protect Inventory. Maintain constant vigilance over the store, ensuring all items are adequately secured and displayed according to company standards.
- Monitor Theft/Fraud by being vigilant of suspicious activity, internal and external theft, or fraud. Communicate with the Supervisor accordingly.
- Enforce Security Protocols, including proper handling and storage of high-value items, use of security systems, and adherence to opening and closing protocols.
- Surveillance and Monitoring of CCTV, security equipment, and physical patrols to monitor customer and employee activity. Physical patrols include performing sweeps of closets, stockrooms, and register areas to ensure no PCI is out, no empty boxes are lying around, and no products are lying around. Patrolling the exterior perimeter of the store.
Sales Floor Main Tasks
- Safety tasks Working knowledge and understanding of the Bulgari Safety Guidelines.
Provide for the Safety & Security of all BCA Employees assigned to the store. Know the evacuation procedures.
- Know the locations of all Fire Extinguishers. Inspect the fire extinguishers monthly and initial the tag. Contact the fire extinguisher vendor and schedule the annual inspection.
- Follow instructions given by the Supervisor.
- Security tasks
- Working knowledge and understanding of the Bulgari Security & Risk Procedures and the BCA Loss Prevention Handbook.
- Opening and closing the store and setting the alarms based on the shift assigned.
- Patrol the exterior of the store.
- Know the location of all Panic Buttons.
- Patrol the sales floor.
- Check with Client Advisors and Sales Administrators about the empty display and the location/status of the Product.
- Monitor the proper use of the blue token and brass token.
- Attend daily briefings.
- Observe the external security guard and report any misapplication of the procedure to the security supervisor.
- Provide escorts when Clients or Visitors need to visit the restroom in the Basement.
- Follow instructions given by the Supervisor.
Job responsibilities
While on duty on the Sales Floor, the following behaviors/activities are not allowed:
- Use of personal phones and other personal electronic devices is prohibited.
- Lean on display cases. Appropriate posture is always expected.
- Leave the sales floor without approval from the Supervisor.
- Chew candy or gum.
- Serve hospitality to clients.
- Engage in long conversations with the Client Advisors or clients.
BOH/CCTV Room Main Tasks
- Activate/Deactivate the Premise Alarm system.
- Sign-in vendors / non-5th Ave employees.
- Answer BOH door.
- Receive, inspect, count, and sign for incoming packages from UPS, Ferrari, and other vendors. Hand packages to the Sales Administrator so they can conduct the Good Receiving process. ALL under CCTV.
- Maintain the Access Control System. Activate/Deactivate access control fobs as necessary.
- In the CCTV room, Observe the External security guard and correct any delinquent actions or activities. Report these actions to Store Management.
- Check the CCTV system for issues with the cameras, images, and screen. If there are issues with the system, send notifications to the security vendor and L/P manager.
- Use of radios to communicate from the sales floor to the CCTV room.
- Use the security wand/metal detector to inspect empty boxes and garbage.
- Maintain visual of the BOH elevator and client restroom. No client is to be left alone in the basement.
While on duty in the BOH/CCTV Room, the following behaviors/activities are not allowed
- Only open the BOH door if the individual is properly identified.
- Ensure to leave the CCTV unattended or visible for employees to see.
- Make sure to leave external vendors unattended.
- Do not pack and ship products.
- Do not open incoming packages. Sales admin should open under CCTV.
Requirements
- 3/5 years of experience in retail loss prevention, security or law enforcement preferred
- Working at the store on assigned shift
- Microsoft Office knowledge
