Job Summary:
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. We are hiring for a late swing-grave shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, monitoring access, and responding to any security-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct security checks and patrols within the building
- Monitor security cameras and alarms
- Ensure that all doors, windows, and gates are secured
- Respond promptly to any security-related incidents or emergencies
- Assist with access control for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Maintain detailed records of all incidents, activities, and observations
- Foot patrol and vehicle patrol
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work independently and follow established protocols
Requirements:
- BSIS Guard Card IS REQUIRED
- Baton, Taser and OC Spray is desired
- Duty Belt and Handcuffs (1, recommended 2)are Desired
- CA DMV Record within 30 days is REQUIRED
- Previous experience in access control, security, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately verify identification and credentials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during high-traffic or emergency situations
- Basic proficiency in using computers and access control systems/software
- Physical fitness and ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform occasional lifting or carrying of equipment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
