Kane's Furniture LLC is seeking a
Part Time Security Guard for our Corporate Office/Distribution Center in Pinellas Park. The Security Guard maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring and patrolling the premises.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Securing the premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Monitors incoming and outgoing vehicles and trucks, inspects cargo areas for any irregularities
- Obtaining help by sounding alarms, when appropriate.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Controlling traffic by directing drivers.
- Maintaining environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintaining the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Schedule: Mondays 1 pm - 6 pm, Saturdays 5 am - 1 pm, and flexibility to cover security as needed outside of routine schedule.

Skills/Qualifications
- Excellent visual surveillance and observation skills.
- The ability to deal with uncertainty and apply good judgement to resolve or appropriately address situations. Ability to be objective, assess situations, remain in control and manage safely and appropriately.
- Dependability, professionalism, and integrity is required.
- Very strong communication skills; the ability to clearly capture information and report any issues both verbally and in writing is required.
- This position requires the capability to move freely and constantly including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting (up to 50 lbs is required), grabbing, holding (and other regular dexterity involving hands and fingers) in hot and cold environments.
- Prior security or law enforcement background experience is highly preferred.
